BIOGRAPHY

Poupak Mehrani is a Full Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Ottawa, a position she has held since 2006. Her research focuses on multiphase flow systems, with emphasis on gas-solid fluidization and powder electrostatics.

Poupak has contributed to solid electrostatic charging research for over two decades. She currently serves as the President of the Electrostatic Society of America, applying her expertise in particle charging mechanisms to industrial electrostatic mitigation in fluidized bed and powder processing systems.
